Blossoms Philosophy
Blossoms believe children learn best when they have established a safe, secure and trusting relationship with their caregiver. This relationship can be easily created in the small group environments our service provides.
A safe, secure and trusting relationship between caregiver and child results in a happy and content child. A happy content child allows for ultimate learning and development to occur in an environment programmed to meet each child’s individual needs.
Our learning environments, embrace every child’s cultural and diverse individual needs whilst we reflect and adhere to the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
All of our Educators observe the children and as a result of their observations plan individual activities and experiences to support their learning and development. These activities and experiences are based on the New Zealand Early Childhood Curriculum document, Te Whariki.
Blossoms value and encourage parent and family/whanau participation into both their child’s learning and the operation of the service and want all educators and families to feel part of a close community within the Blossoms service.
